Course Overview
A team leader is the first level of management, responsible for overseeing operations or projects, or managing a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes. They provide direction, instructions, and guidance to ensure goals are met. The goal of the Team Leader Apprenticeship is to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours necessary to achieve team leader and supervisor objectives. This role involves supporting, managing, and developing team members; overseeing projects; planning and monitoring workloads and resources; executing operational plans; solving problems; and building relationships both within and outside the organization.
Team leaders can work in the private, public, or third sector across organizations of all sizes. While specific responsibilities may vary, the core knowledge, skills, and behaviours required are consistent across all sectors and settings. This is a dynamic and versatile role that can be found in a wide range of industries.

Qualification Achieved
On completion of this apprenticeship, you will hold a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship.

Learning and Assessment
Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentice’s needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary.
End Point Assessment
Each apprentice must undergo an independent end-point assessment to determine the outcome of their apprenticeship. The assessments will evaluate the knowledge, skills and behaviours gained during their programme. The methods in which this apprenticeship is assessed are:
- Assessment method 1 - Presentation with questions
- Assessment method 2 - Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence

Entry Requirements
Entry requirements for apprenticeships vary depending on the level and type of apprenticeship, as well as the employer.
General requirements be:
- At least 16 years old,
- Not be in any other education
- Live in England.
