Level 2

Beauty Therapist

Course Overview

The Level 2 Beauty Therapist Apprenticeship is designed to provide learners with the foundational skills and knowledge required to work as a beauty therapist. This apprenticeship combines practical, hands-on training in a salon or spa environment with learning, enabling apprentices to develop their expertise in beauty treatments while working toward a recognized qualification.

The course covers essential beauty therapy skills, including facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow shaping. Apprentices will learn to provide high-quality customer service, conduct client consultations, and offer professional advice on skincare and beauty treatments. Health, safety, and hygiene are key components of the training, with apprentices being taught how to maintain a safe and sterile working environment, use products correctly, and ensure the safety of both clients and themselves.

In addition to treatment skills, apprentices will develop product knowledge and learn how to recommend and apply beauty products effectively. They will also be trained in the use of beauty equipment, learning how to operate and maintain devices used in treatments such as hair removal, facials, and skin treatments.

A large part of the apprenticeship involves learning how to work with clients, providing a relaxing and professional experience while maintaining the standards of the beauty industry. Apprentices will also focus on business skills, including maintaining client records, managing appointments, and working effectively within a team.
