How Many Hours Does An Apprentice Work?

If you are an apprentice work employee, you have to work at least 30 hours per week in addition to one day of study, according to the guidelines from the government. But the specifics depend on what you and your employees decide on and write in your employment contract. Read on to find out more.

Generally, you will spend one day at e college university or a training provider in addition to 4 days at work. The same is the case regardless of the levels of study. However, a lot of this depends on the employer.

How can you manage your work and study? 

Most apprentice work employers allow their apprentices to study one day per week, which is called day release. They may also allow alternate work weeks with a full study week, which is known as block release.

This difference may sound trivial, but it may have a significant impact on your experience, especially if you study and the employer is far away. In this case, you will have to travel long distances every week.
